We don't want you to miss out on this time of year in the vines, so we have put together a few unique experiences where you can take part in an actual harvest. Some are better geared towards families and some are better as a corporate or big group outing, I let you know all about that below. Trust me when I say, there is a harvest experience for you to book but make sure to do it as soon as possible as we don't want to see you wait until this time next year to be a part of such an unforgettable experience.Â

Family friendly harvest days at FitaPreta
What sets FitaPreta apart from the other wineries is their unique kids' harvest experience. The kids' harvest day requires only a minimum of one participant to book and is a fun-filled 3 hour day at the winery to play while the adults put in some work. This experience will make you want to be a kid again. They get to explore the world of wine at FitaPreta through an interactive book where they even partake in a blind tasting of special "nectars" during a kid-friendly lunch. The fun doesn't stop there, they then go on a treasure hunt through the vines where they can pick grapes as part of their hunt. Think that is all the fun to be had, think again, next up is painting with grape juice, sign me up, oh wait, this is only for kids up to 12 years old. Do you have a little one that would love to do this, sign up here.Â
Now onto the adult harvest experience. Your day consists of grape picking, sorting through grapes or taking on other winery tasks, like pumping-over or remontage. During harvest there is much to be done so the experience can change a little based on the day you book. But trust me when I say, these experiences will make you appreciate the wine you drink in a way you never thought possible. After sampling some fermenting must (unfermented juice from crushed grapes), you'll enjoy a tasting of five FitaPreta wines. Lunch is served in the breathtaking courtyard of the Palace of the Paço do Morgado with the entire team. You get a real hands on experience here, and if you are a little more adventurous, you can book their 8 hour day instead of the 4.5 hour day. Book this curated wine experience with Wine XP here. Â
